How to Upload a Video in YouTube Channel

Introduction

YouTube is a video-sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California, United States. The site allows users to upload, view, and share videos, and it makes use of WebM, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, and Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of user-generated and corporate media video.

Available content includes video clips, TV clips, music videos, and other content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos. In this post, we are giving you a tutorial on how to upload a video on YouTube.

Pre-requisite

Before the uploading process begin, be sure that you already have a video intended to be uploading into the website's cloud storage. This storage can either be set to private or public.

Uploading video to YouTube

Step 1: Open Youtube.com website

Step 2: Click the sign-in button to sign into your YouTube account. If you already signed-in, click upload button and skip to Step 5.


YouTube account can be made using any email. If you own a Gmail account, then you automatically own a YouTube account already.

Step 3: Log into your YouTube/Google account

Step 4: Click upload button located at the top-right of the website

Step 5: Click the arrow symbol to select the video from your computer folder.


There are options whether to set the video to private, unlisted or public. If you set it to private, you and selected users (approved by you) are eligible to watch the video. If you set it to unlisted, the video can be viewed publicly but it will not appear in search. For the public, the video is searchable and viewed anonymously.

Step 6: Select the video from your computer folder

Step 7: The uploading process will start


While waiting for the video to upload, you can insert the description of the video and put tags on it. You can also change the title of the video according to your preferences.

Step 8: Click publish to finalize the process


After you click the publish button, you will be given option on sharing the video. If you do not wish to share the link of the video, you can simply click the video thumbnail to view your product

And finally, your product is ready
